One way to attract extra traffic to your website is through having a contest or giveaway. Although it is true that a large portion of the new visitors you receive may just come looking to get something for free, there will create lots of good publicity that is beneficial.

Consider the products and services offered by your website and then use your imagination to create a fun contest that will appeal to the average customer you will be targeting with this promotion.

For example, for a website whose content focuses on issues relation to parenthood one creative contest might be that people have to tell the story of the most embarrassing thing their kids have said in front of others or the funniest mistake they have made in parenting.

Contests can also be used in conjunction with the release of a new product. Suppose you had a website for busy women which offers tips on how to manage time better and that you were preparing to present a new product that discusses what to do to make it through the holidays. A possible contest that you could hold is asking for funniest Thanksgiving food disasters or best tip for holiday shopping time-saving.

Contest prizes can be arranged by owners of other websites or can come from your very own products and services. If you choose to go with a different website for prizes, you won’t have to spend any money on them and the other website’s owner will probably be happy to receive some free publicity. If you do this, be sure to mention the name of the provider of the prizes on your website.

If you are not the creative type, you can simply hold a giveaway. Your visitors can enter their information into a form and you can randomly pick a winner. Again, you can offer one of your products or services as the prize or you can seek out prizes from other business owners.

Giveaways can be used to keep customers coming back for more from your business. In a service based business like graphic design, you could allow customers that have paid for your services to fill out a giveaway form each time they do so and offer a monthly prize. This might be added incentive for customers to return in an attempt to win your monthly prizes.

To be successful, you’ll want to promote your contest as much as possible. You’ll want to send a notice to your mailing list as well as putting information about the contest on the main page of your website and blog. If you offer a podcast, make sure you mention it to your listeners.

A large number of other sites will allow you to advertise your contest with them as well. Google “contest submission sites” to get a hold of some good possibilities. Press releases can also be well utilized to stimulate interest for your event.

Giveaways and contests can boost the amount of traffic your website receives, greatly benefiting your business. As you use them, think about the results and how you can adjust your ideas in an attempt to match your customers’ interests as well as possible.

How To Get Fast Traffic to Your Website

Do you have a website? If so, you absolutely need traffic.

You may be asking: what do you mean by “traffic”. I’m glad you asked. Website traffic refers to people checking out your site. Consider the possibility of laying out the investment to build a website, and thousands of dollars later, you have nice-looking site that no one knows about and thereby not earning you money. You may as well put a McDonald’s smack-dab in the middle of Death Valley.

There are numerous methods for getting traffic to your site. If you are in a hurry, the two methods I explain below should get your special attention.

First, you can borrow traffic. Most businesses can use some form of this method, and I encourage you to creatively adapt it to your specific situation. In essence, you simply get another website owner to agree to recommend your product or service to their “list” of interested individuals. This usually involves offering a referral fee or commission to get them to agree to this.

This procedure gets results for these two reasons. First, the other website owner has already invested the time and money required to collect the names and contact information of interested individuals, sparing you from doing the same. Second, this method allows you to get “credit” for the credibility of the other website owner. Think about your own experience. Do you normally seek out self-serving, traditional advertisements, or do you rely more upon the advice of friends and trusted acquaintances when making a buying decision? The answer is obvious.

The “borrowing traffic” method can generally be performed without upfront cash, though you will have to pay a percentage of sales.

The next fast-traffic method we’ll discuss is paid advertising. There are several types of paid advertising, and the very first you should consider is pay-per-click advertising. Google’s Adwords program is the easiest to begin with, and eventually you will want to research using Yahoo and MSN as well. Pay-per-click advertising’s great benefit is the ability to hone in one certain keywords that people are looking for, and as an added bonus, you can start getting traffic in 10 minutes or less.

This method of advertising is attractive for numerous reasons. Chief of these is the ability to match the words people are searching for with your particular ad. Another great benefit is you can track many aspects of your pay-per-click campaigns.

This method does mean you will pay before making sales, although Google probably won’t charge your credit card until the end of the month. As a caution, in the beginning you will want to monitor your Adwords account often to make sure you are not spending more than you intended.

These are only two methods of getting traffic to your website. Future articles will reveal many more methods.

Video Sharing Web Sites seem all the rage right now, and a quick check on Alexa reveals that traffic to the established sites is soaring. So how to get in on the action and set up your own video sharing site.

1. Choose a niche for your video site. This will help in gaining some leverage initially in the search engines, and differentiate it from the very popular and well established sites such as YouTube and Google Video. A niche might comic or funny video’s, internet marketing, howto’s and tutorials or a particularly type of cooking.

2.Once you’ve decided on your niche, the next step is a great domain name for your site. This domain should ideally be short and memorable (though many of the short domains have now been taken). There are two approaches, use some of the keywords for niche in your domain, or think of a unique zany one, the latter is what a lot of Web 2.0 sites do.

3. Obviously you will need a web host for your video site. The cheapest option would be to go for shared hosting. So you may need a more specialist video provider. Once your site gets established you will need more resources, perhaps a dedicated server. A virtual private server is a good compromise.

4. Normal web hosting might need the requirements for video sharing so check out web hosts, and Google for “ffmpeg hosting.” FFMpeg is a utility that powers a lot of video sharing sites as it will encode video in varying formats to flash video player format (.flv)

5. This is important as your shares will upload their films in a variety of formats. You server or host will also require php (safe mode off) ffmpeg-php, libogg

The Basic Guides For Articles Rewriting

Try to visualize that if we only have two colors like white and black. We know that we do not feel happy because it looks dull and uninteresting. You may feel that something is missing and it is very frightening. Colors give shine to the things that surrounds us and fetch contentment to every one of us. It is the same as the PLR articles where colors, help to describe and relate new imaginative web site content.

Articles should be in high quality and if you want to achieve it, you need to be aware of searching of information and words that you will use. Word Processor is very helpful to PLR articles in keeping away from reproduction content having all the old thoughts to form into a more Imaginative words. Many free directories online can provide the things you need, but you need to research and always present every time you need them.

If you want to rewrite articles, you need lots of encouragement because it helps you to write a good content. Besides, you cannot write properly if you are not in the mood because your mind cannot focus. The next thing to do is to make a simple writing plan, take time to improve it. Be imaginative. Simile and metaphor will be good if you know how to use it. You also need to remember to keep away from idiom typecast.

A PLR article must have a specific rhythm, it must be lively, dynamic, and otherwise the reader will stop reading it after the first lines. To continue with, if you have spent more than ten minutes in front of the computer without writing anything interesting do something else that can be inspiring for you. For example you can read other articles or a few pages in a book, or watch a movie, or go for a walk or cook something.

Surprising isn’t it? But that’s the way it is. You get ideas while doing some routing chore. I get them when I’m sitting in the toilet, of all the places. You should read Sigmund Freud to find out the reason why. You might get some inspiration.

It would be useful to revise the grammar you studied in school when one of your teacher’s evaluation items used to be rephrasing exercises. You do not have to feel frustrated because anybody should know that long life learning can keep you forever young. In addition, this time the profit of your online business can be a strong motivation for your approach.

In a sentence that must be rewritten you have to identify the grammar problem, then only you can perform the rephrasing. It is not difficult at all and this back to school effort is not only self fulfilled, but the end result will be a rewarding one.

We have to concede that not everyone has the talent to write compelling web content, but if you’re bent on succeeding, then everything is possible. Think about it. Let it sink into your subconscious. Instead of using the PLR articles that you bought, rewrite them and make them more compelling and hard to put down. There is no penalty for duplicate content by doing this. By rewriting a PLR article, you can feel the sense of satisfaction and the exhilarating heady feeling of success.

Since the evolution of email marketing, it has been a troublesome task for advertisers who relied primarily on the Internet for the promotion of their business to determine who their potential customers are, to keep in constant touch with them and to maintain their customer lists. To help these businesses, many firms began offering various solutions to make this process more effective, productive and profitable.

The first thing to know is that email marketing solutions usually involve the use of a campaign. This is similar to the sales catalogs you get in the mail every week. They are sending out a marketing campaign that contains information for that week. The same goes for email marketing as with direct regular paper mail. If you are looking at email marketing solutions then you have probably come across an email marketing service. There are three categories that these services will fall into. These will be High, Mid and Off the shelf.

High end services will focus and even specialize on email marketing. They offer complex marketing technologies and have the capability to do both online and offline marketing strategies to large numbers of clients.

The essence of business (i.e. procuring prospective clients, sending campaigns pertaining to various trades and getting the feedback necessary to make changes in the business? strategies), is achieved more conveniently with the aid of these newly evolved email marketing solutions. Even though there are restrictions due to the abundance of spam, targeting opt-in customers and giving them the ability to unsubscribe render much more popularity to email marketing solutions.

Off the shelf, email marketing solutions are ideal for small businesses that plan to allot their own resources to marketing. They offer things like the basics in tracking, reporting, list management and personalized HTML emails.

Email marketing solutions can be an excellent way to take care of some of the specialized information that is necessary for finding out if a campaign is working for you. These are things like tracking, writing content so that it expresses your message in a way that encourages people to want to visit your website.

Online Business Directories

What is a business directory and why do people need to have easy access to them? A business directory is a specialised listing mainly consisting of information about businesses. Both consumers and other businesses are likely to find a company much easily through a business directory and better yet, if the business directory is online.

Some business directories carry information about companies and organisations in alphabetical classification, which means, if you are looking for an electrical equipment manufacturer, you should find a suitable company under the letter ‘E’. Other business directories list company information according to the service type, such as home appliances, electronics, financial & legal services, business services, cars and automotive, shopping, transport etc.

Most business directories are available online now, involving their services for improving the information highway. Online business directories belong to two categories - those which provide their listings for free and the others who charge a fee for listings. There’s not much of a difference between paid and free business directories, but the most significant difference is the directory’s publisher.

The free online business directories are those which exchange links with their listed companies, which means both parties place a link to direct visitors to each other’s websites. These reciprocal links act as web traffic generators for the directories as well as the businesses. These free business directories make money from the advertisers who sponsor them.

There are a few business directories offering more than simple listing services, including features such as job advertising, picture galleries and a dedicated web page for the listed business. These are optional services and any business owner who wishes to use the directory for multiple purposes can take advantage of the offers. The majority of business directories charge for these services, but some directories provide all such services for free.

Submitting a business listing to an online business directory doesn’t take much time. Your business information is compulsory to enter a listing, including the company name, registration, email, telephone, address etc.

These business directories keep the basic information brief and if you need more information about a particular company, you must follow a link to either the web page within the directory or the company’s main website. After your business listing is submitted to a directory, all visitors can easily find it by navigating through the main page index.

Most business directories, whether online or offline, focus on listing a particular region’s businesses. Usually, these regions are selected based upon neighbourhood, city, district, province, state etc. Country-wide and international business directories are very rare, especially online
