In 2008, there is plenty of buzz about the new and exciting online promotional tactics related to online video marketing and online video sharing.

Certainly we have all heard about the biggest online video sharing website out there, Youtube. In 2007, Google purchased Youtube and even before this acquisition, the site was growing in popularity each and every day. Youtube is a wonderful site for users to get started with sharing online video content. However, because your video is converted to flash upon uploading it to the website, you need to learn the tips and techniques that will optimize your videos for the best quality result after uploading to the site.

Obviously the first step is to have video content created in order to then share the video online. To do this, you will need the equipment in order to shoot video, edit, and encode video. If you do not currently have a camcorder or other video camera, most digital cameras these days, and even some mobile phones, have video functionality built in. In addition, you can use a simple webcam to produce videos. As far as software for editing and encoding your videos, there are hundreds of choices. Even the basic video software that come with most new computers have the tools that you will need.

While Microsoft MovieMaker is a great introductory program for video editing, it does not do well with videos that are created using a mobile phone. If you are going to capture video from a cameraphone for use on youtube, I would suggest getting Quicktime Pro from Apple. This is a very inexpensive upgrade and can handle conversion in multiple formats.

It is important to note that youtube does not support all of the many many different video formats that are available, and for good reason. However, as a result, you should try to utilize a format such as mp4 or even mov. Most video editing software will support this but if yours does not, I would suggest downloading another program.

When exporting your video, I would recommend exporting to the Youtube recommended size, which is 320×240. Most video cameras and camcorders shoot video at much higher resolutions so you will likely need to compress and resize your video to the aspect ratio of 320*240. If you are using a webcam, sometimes the video exported directly from the webcam is ready to go.

When discussing which quality, or bit-rate, ideally you will be targeting a final file with a bit rate of 700-1000. I would suggest using 1000kbps, but anything higher is almost a waste as it does not result in much better quality and takes much more time to process.

Once you are ready with size, codec, and quality set up, it is time for the selection of your audio format. It is better to use the MP3 audio codec, which should be standard on your editor.

When you are done editing and exporting your video as a .mov or as a .mp4 format, you would obviously want to preview the video and make certain that it meets your standards for quality. If your resulting project is OK by you, go ahead and upload your video to Youtube.

Your video, depending on the speed of your internet connection, will take some time to upload and often several minutes. Once it is uploaded and resides on Youtube servers, they automatically compress and encode your video into an flv flash file. If you followed the suggestions for optimizing your video, your result should look much better than some others on Youtube.

In terms of video search engine optimization, it is always important to know the keywords and phrases that are most relevant to both your content and of course, your target audience. You will want to be certain that you include these words and phrases within the video title, description, and tags. It is also important that you choose the most appropriate category on Youtube to submit your video to.

Choose and appropriate but popular category to post your video in and allow users to post comments, ratings, and embed your video elsewhere as this attracts incoming links to your video page on Youtube and provides you with the opportunity to show up in the Google search results as a result of their universal search initiative and purchase of Youtube.

Good luck video sharing on youtube. I would also suggest trying some of the various other sites out there.

Why Article Marketing Still Works And Generates The Best Traffic

Article marketing is the best free way to increase traffic to your website from a variety of sources. Articles not only contain useful information or content on a particular subject but they also contain the url or hyperlink to the site of your choice. Popular sites are the best because it should give your article a great deal of exposure; within a relatively short period you should start to experience more visitors at your site. Large, well visited sites are generally trusted so if your content is accepted, it should improve your reputation as well; by improving your standing, you will by default, also improve the level of trust people have for you.

This method of article marketing needs to be done almost every day if you want your name to be associated as an expert so people look for your work. Convincing people of your knowledge in certain areas ensures they will always trust what you write. Although it can take a while, this traffic from people that trust you will help your own search engine ranking; the benefit of this is there will be an increase in people that find you through the search engines. The more websites that link to yours, the more traffic you will achieve; the greatest benefit of this is none of it is costing you a single dollar!

A number of links to other relevant sites can be placed in the body text (not too many) when using article marketing. The purpose of good articles is for people to use them on their site, with each having the links to your site contained in them which all helps the ranking. Just how quickly you will visited by a search engine and listed can vary enormously from a day to months! However if you are submitting articles that are relevant to your website, the process of listing your site is usually much quicker which increases traffic.

Article marketing helps to improve the ranking of a site but in addition to this it also helps increase the amount of content at the same time which again improves rank. The visitors you attract have no idea most of the time you are trying to sell them something. There is n reason why you cannot be truthful about what you are doing once they reach your website provided they have useful information. It is at this point that the sales promotion can be used. This procedure is almost like a safety net because you are explaining the process to them so they will not misunderstand. It is this sort of method that stops people from cancelling their order a few days later.

It is this type of article marketing that ensures visitors are always coming to your site; regularly submitting articles is necessary and should not be viewed as something you only have to do once. It is not just articles that you write that will be on other websites but if your site is good, you will receive links from other websites also; your content or article will have information that other people are seeking. You cannot dismiss just how effective article marketing is at getting people to your site for free; provided you keep adding unique, but relevant, content to your site, visitors will return.

Are You Wasting Your Small Business Marketing Resources?

Are you wasting your precious small business marketing resources and robbing your business of it’s best chance for survival and prosperity? Are you guilty of the following small business marketing mistakes?

1. Failing to conduct small business marketing research.

2. Not targeting the people most likely to become customers.

3. Not creating and following a small business marketing plan.

Small Business Marketing Mistake 1: Not Investing In Small Business Marketing Research

The first mistake is not investing in small business marketing research. Small business owners are reluctant to invest resources up front to conduct product development research, competition analysis, and market segmentation.

If you don’t have insights from research, you are more likely to build your business and marketing on bad information that decreases your chance of marketing effectively.

Without this research, you will be more inclined to build a marketing program that lacks focus. Research provides the groundwork to build a strategic marketing plan, to assure that every marketing tactic contributes to your marketing and business goals, and to attract your best potential customers.

A little money spent on research upfront can assure that your marketing to the right people and in the right way to be most successful. In fact, your target market is so important that it is covered as the second of the three major ways that small business owners waste their marketing resources.

Small Business Marketing Mistake 2: Not Targeting The People Most Likely To Become Customers

If you don’t want to waste your marketing resources, you need to pick a target market and direct all your marketing to them. Otherwise, you market to everybody and don’t sell much to anybody.

Many small business owners believe that everybody will want to buy what they sell, but that is seldom the case. This mistake wastes resources marketing to people who will never buy. Not only that, but failing to target the people most likely to buy, may actually alienate those who would otherwise become loyal customers.

What you spend upfront to gather information on your target market, will more than return your investment in increased sales. Plus, it will save you from wasting your marketing resources on strategies and tactics that don’t work effectively with your target market members.

In addition, target market research enables you to:

focus on your best potential customers,

learn as much as possible about these potential customers, and

design small business marketing campaigns to reach potential customers at least seven times within a year.

Target market research provides small business owners with information about:

the people most likely to buy,

the media to use to distribute your marketing messages,

their information needs and effective appeals to include in marketing messages,

how much money they spend and how to price your product.

If you know this information and plan marketing campaigns with it, you’ll improve return on investment and avoid wasting your small business marketing resources.

Small Business Marketing Mistake 3: Not Creating And Following A Small Business Marketing Plan

This third mistake results from the first two. Without the proper research, you can’t have a good marketing plan. And without a good marketing plan, you will more easily fall for sales pitches.

Some small business owners believe that the only reason to complete a business plan is because banks require them for business loans. They fail to recognize the value of a business plan to guide their business, much less a marketing plan to guide their marketing.

If you haven’t decided what marketing tactics and strategies are needed to reach your marketing goals, you are more likely to be persuaded by sales people to pursue tactics that are less effective and often just waste your marketing resources.

In order to keep your marketing efforts on track, you must have a marketing destination. You must know what it will take to get to your marketing goal, or you risk contributing to sales people’s sales goals more than your own business and marketing goals.

You don’t want to buy advertisements that don’t reach your target market just because media sales people are pushing their latest “greatest” promotions.

The same is true for sales people who offer marketing products and services. If you don’t have a marketing or business plan, you will fail to recognize when these are inappropriate for your target market. When you buy products and services that don’t advance your business toward your marketing goals, you waste resources and sacrifice the opportunity to use those resources on tactics that would reach your goals.

Telemarketing Call Centres for Enhancing Customer Service

Telemarketing call centers are used when contacting customers by telephone or responding to customer needs. All participants don’t have to be in the same room. The locations of the telemarketing centers are in the United States as well as overseas. These specific centers make the calls for you as well as respond to all of the incoming telephone inquiries. When ensuring that your customers are provided with excellent service, a telemarketing services call center is a very good choice.

With any type of service there could be nominal fees and it is suggested that before you sign up for the services of a telemarketing call center, ask them about the price per call. There are some companies that will charge a higher price per call than others so it is best to research your options. Search for telemarketing call centers that have been in business for a good length of time. Don’t feel uncomfortable about asking them about their fee structure.

The customer service agents should be polite and eager to talk to your customers. Remember that this telemarketing call center will be representing your business. You do not want people calling your customers who are rude or have no knowledge of the product that you sell. It is very crucial that the people working in the telemarketing call center be people who want to be there and who like their jobs. This will be reflected on how they treat your customers.

You cannot get a customer back if they are treated rudely by one of the people working at the telemarketing call center. And they may spread the word about your business to other potential customers.

One way to find telemarketing services is to ask around at trade shows. See whom your competitors are using for their call centers. Most businesses today outsource their telemarketing calls to these centers so you should be able to get referrals from colleagues.

Some call centers are not in prime business locations whereby the working conditions are not great. Unfortunately, there is a big turnover in employees within this type of environment. If call centers are considerate to their employees then the staff will stay with the company longer. This is an extremely important issue for you because then your telemarketing call center will not be disrupted as often. It is understood that without any telemarketers there is no call center.

Take a look at their overall performance as far as handling calls and the volume of calls that they make or receive each month. If possible visit the call center, although it may be very difficult and not economically feasible. You should also make sure that they are using state of the art technology so that no calls get dropped and you do not lose a potential customer.

Customers are the main lifeblood of any business. Without them, you have nothing. Customers can be hard to get and to hold. This is why it is so important to make sure that you use a good telemarketing service call center to maintain customer contact.

Tips to Save Money by Rewriting Articles and Content

Whenever many people consider the World Wide Web, they think of information. And a lot of the internet-based business concerns are earnestly using or at least debating whether they should provide relevant information on their sites beyond just the basics of their products or services.

A lot of of these online business sites are using private label articles for the content of their website. The use of them helps keep their costs low. Plus an assortment of private label rights articles means webmasters have a lot of opportunities to use them for many niche sites.

Duplicate content is always a concern when using PLR material on a website. Most of the search engines are quite good at finding similar sentences and phrases across the whole internet. Just type in a phrase such as “home page”, with the quotes, and Google will display the total number of web pages using that phrase. We have provided four simple techniques to help eliminate the effect that duplicate content can have on your search engine rankings.

Use Synonyms: You are able to significantly modify the content just by substituting words from the article with their synonyms. If you are good at it, the final article that you make can be more clear and comprehensible than the master article. And you would not require any separate software for this; as Microsoft Word will do a great job.

Extra Content: It is quite easy to add more words to a document to make it dissimilar to another version. This also allows the internet webmaster to add additional keywords which could help with overall ranking. Introduction, Middle and Conclusion sections are also methods to make your material totally different from other versions.

Rearrange & Revise Paragraphs: This is a different way in which you shuffle the articles so that some points are stressed more than the others according to your needs. You can even think about dropping some material if you think that it is not required. Just a simple rearrangement with rewrite work can make the article read different from the original one.

Rewrite: Sometimes a rewrite is the fastest way to go. Read books, search the net and assemble related source material. Use the most popular topics as subheadings and then create pertinent points in each subheading. Once this format is established, all you have to do is to expand on these points to create a complete article.

These tips should enable you to rewrite PLR content quickly so as to provide your visitors with relevant content. The hardest part is to get started.
